Case in point.

So this has been a long and tiring week. I have been stressed to the max because I am going to NYC for work tomorrow thru Sunday. I thought I would have Monday and Tuesday to get everything ready at the office, home and to get myself ready as well. No such luck. Aubrey has been sick, vomiting and with an ear infection since Sunday night. I have zero sick leave left but Ryan is working double shifts these two days so he can take her to and from daycare when I am gone. So I have missed two days of work, unpaid because she has been sick.

Normally this would not piss me off. I mean kids get sick, right? Except that this could have been totally avoided if certain parents cared as much about other kids’ health as they do their own. I took Aubrey to a birthday party on Saturday, and that is where she caught the stomach virus. Come to find out that one of the mom’s there adheres to the “no vaccinations, no medicine” policy of parenting. Like I have said before, to each his own. Only, I must have left out the part that says HEY IDIOT IF YOUR KID IS SICK AND YOU REFUSE TO MEDICATE THEM FOR “HEALTHY LIVING” REASONS DON’T BRING THEM TO A BIRTHDAY PARTY WITH 10 OTHER INNOCENT CHILDREN YOU FREAKING HIPPIE MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GRR. I am so mad. Do what you want in your own house when it comes to your kids’ health but leave mine out of it. I have been puked on over ten times in the last 48 hours. I have missed 2 days of pay. Aubrey has felt like crap and has lost over half a pound because she can’t keep anything down (and the kid is underweight as it is). I finally had to go get her a shot today bc she kept throwing up the medicine. I have spent $60 on medicine and doctor visits. I haven’t slept in two days and neither has she. And now, tomorrow I have to leave town for 4 days and she won’t know what’s going on.

For the love of God, people, protect your kids against disease and if they are sick give them medicine and oh yeah, keep them away from my kid!

So pissed.

It happened again!

Okay, seriously, Mr. Sonic-intercom-trainer, tell your carhops that when I order and then say “and that’s ALL I WANT, don’t want to add anything or make my drink bigger, thanks” I mean, “no, seriously, if you ask me if I want anything else go with that after I JUST told you I DON’T, I will scratch your eyes out!”. SO ANNOYING!!!

SO ANNOYING!

It really really really really really REALLY ticks me off when people go around saying what’s wrong with America for the mere sake of whining about it. Top that off with the fact that you don’t vote b/c you don’t want to “choose the lesser of two evils” (which is a completely stupid argument, I mean, one of them is GOING to be president so get off your high horse and vote for the one who can fix the most), and I find new, suprising dissapointment in you. The respect level dwindles a little.

ANNOYING.

SO ANNOYING!

From time to time I will post a blog about something that continually annoys me. This is the first one, which happens to me almost every day.

I have 5 extra minutes and either forgot to eat breakfast or need some caffeine. The only stop on my side of Council Road between daycare and work is Sonic. So I pull in, and the Sonic lady says “Welcome to Sonic how may I help you?” And I say, “Good morning. I would like a breakfast burrito with salsa please. That’s all, thanks!” to which she replies, “Would you like to add tots and a drink to that?” Um HELLO. I just said “That’s all“! Meaning, that’s all I want, don’t ask me if I want to add anything on becuase if I wanted to add tots I would have said, oh please give me tots. Or, if I wanted my large Dr. Pepper to be changed to a Route 44 for just 20 cents more, you know what honey, I would have ordered a Route 44 Dr. Pepper!

I annoy myself, because I continue to go there on my way to work about 3 times a week and am always irritated by the time I get to work. Why do I do this to myself?

It must be the Sonic Ice. It has been mystified, like the Ice Queen of Narnia’s turkish delight. I bet she owns Sonic.
